About Trigg.la

Alexis Diana

From an early age, Alexis has had more interests than any mortal could satisfy. Moving every few years her entire childhood, meeting new people from different backgrounds everywhere she went, didn’t help. Alexis got her undergrad degree in Biomedical Materials Engineering Science, while performing in a band, writing songs, doing theatre and dance (i.e. she had no social life). After spending a summer doing research at the Mayo Clinic and being published in the Nanomedicine journal, Alexis moved to LA to intern for ABC News (???). Since then she’s worked a variety of positions in TV production, music and New Media. Her newest endeavor, The Experts, is food for the insatiably curious… an excuse to learn from those at the top of their game in all areas of art and science alike. Alexis loves thunderstorms and entertains unhealthy obsessions with Neil Gaiman, hobos, tree climbing and cookies.

Palace Parker

Palace’s first introduction to music was playing the saxophone to old jazz records at 9 years of age before picking up the blues guitar (her preferred style of playing to this day). Since then, her palette has extended to a variety of different genres and encompasses The Musicast – a weekly show featuring new music found on the interwebs. In addition to music, Palace studied political science at Cal State Fullerton and runs Destinyhop – a site devoted to subculture and odd music videos. Her other activities include, but are not exclusive to: long walks on the beach, candle-lit dinners, spooning, and singing Berlin’s hit “Take My Breathe Away” to complete strangers in LA traffic.

Andrew P. Alderete

Ten years ago, Andrew graduated with a BA in Biology from Swarthmore and was working in biotech and neuroscience at UPenn. By day, it was science and tech. But by night, it was art, film, music, and writing. Finally, he made a decision to pursue what he was most passionate about: movies. It only made sense that he ended up going to graduate school to get his MFA from Cal-Arts out here in Los Angeles, so he packed his bags and left his career in science behind. Graduating with multiple short films under his belt and invaluable experience in production and producing, Andrew went to work at Universal Pictures for two years before ending up at Trigger Street. At Trigger Street, Andrew works in both worlds, where the analytical and technical expertise fuse with an important creative foundation. Overall, Andrew is obsessed with movies and soundtracks and continues to investigate the importance of sound and image and how they relate to each another within cinema. He also co-owns 2m1 Records, an indie music label that releases soundtrack scores to interesting and obscure films.

Thomas Trube

TT was born in the Buckeye State of Ohio. Even as a kid he made sure he was one step ahead of his seven year old friends. It was rumored to be true that he packed four outfit changes for one day of a family outing in Disney World. He wanted to make sure that even though the family was spending one day there-TT wanted to reflect that he was at Disney multiple days.

Later on he embraced looks from 21 Jump Street circa Johnny Depp and embraced biker jackets with ripped jeans to Youngstown State University when others were wearing Tommy Hilfiger and Polo. TT has a bachelors in Fine and Performing Arts and also majored in Communications Management. Never one to shy away from outside the pack he continued to appreciate easy and effortless style mixed with good hair and a perfect shoe. He cites Mark Vanderloo and Marcus Schenkenberg as early idols and embraced living in Miami Beach throughout the nineties. He worked with Michele Pommier model agency as well as an assistant photographer, stylist and makeup artist to pay the bills during this stint. Later he moved to NYC in 1999 and appeared in many films and TV shows including Sex and the City and The Devil wears Prada. Working with Barney’s, Issey Miyake, Puma Black, adidas and Jason Wu he became a force in merchandising, public relations, buying, store and design consulting. Now a resident of Los Angeles, TT is now contributing to Hatch Showroom, styling consulting duties with top celebrities and of course focusing on the new launch of Fashion Matters TV 2012. He now cites John F Kennedy Jr as his ultimate style icon.

Carter Swan

After getting my start in Production I quickly became Paul Walker’s Producing partner at the age of 23. Since that time I have worked in all phases of the film making business; Good, Bad and otherwise. After being a writer myself for a few years I have since come back to Production where I was the Co-Head of Definace Entertainment before settling in as the Vice President of Trigger Street.

I am a fiend for John Carpenter, Michael Mann, Stanley Kubrick, Shane Black, Sergio Leone, Scott Rosenberg, Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Walter Hill, Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher among many many others.

I also love Seattle Sports, my brothers band Fleet Foxes, my dog Kenny and most importantly, a GOOD Margarita.

Sarah Tiana

Sarah Tiana has been a working comedian in Los Angeles since 2003. Originally from Calhoun, GA, Sarah’s act emphasizes the ups and downs of a Southern childhood while peppering in her opinions of dating and sports, or the sport of dating. Recently Sarah has been recognized for her “breakout performance” as Carmen in four episodes of Reno 911!’s 7th season. In 2005 she helped create a sketch comedy company called The Strait Jacket Society as a way to help young actors in Hollywood accelerate their stage time and gain exposure while still having fun. This sketch comedy experience also helped her become a familiar face on Showtime’s “Jeff Garcia’s Low Budget Madness” and “In The Flow With Affion Crockett.” A downright American, Sarah has done 9 tours of comedy for the troops including Germany, Singapore, Afghanistan, Guam, Okinawa, and several Wounded Warrior Facilities. A recent trip to Iraq is highlighted in the documentary film, “We Love You Mrs. Bevins”(available on Amazon and Netflix). Sarah recently wrote and starred in “The Burn” for Comedy Central with Jeffrey Ross. She has also been seen on E!, Reelz TV, the TV Guide Channel, Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen, NFL.com and PlentyofFish.com. She will never be seen in the three pilots she taped last year.

Patrick Mcullough

Patrick McCullough is from New Orleans, Louisiana and counts himself among the members of Who Dat Nation, a fact that becomes apparent when he tries to shoehorn the New Orleans Saints into every single sports conversation. Patrick’s predilection for useless trivia and inane stats serves him well as an avid fantasy football and baseball player. Patrick also considers himself a fan of the LSU Tigers when it comes to college football (despite having attended Washington University in St. Louis), a half-assed fan of the Los Angeles Angels when it comes to baseball, and an LA Kings fan (via marriage) when it comes to hockey. His knowledge of and appreciation for the sport of basketball is limited, and his soccer knowledge is nonexistent. . . because last he checked this was America.

In addition to prattling on about sports, Patrick’s hobbies include collecting DVD’s, reading comic books, playing video games, smoking cigars, drinking scotch, and just generally being awesome. He lives in Los Angeles.

Jenna Hannon

Jenna Hannon is an action sports adrenaline junkie who finds this same thrill in tech. A board-riding computer geek and adventure loving tech writer, marketer and digital media enthusiast, Jenna is ‘thrilled’ by innovation and entrepreneurship. Jenna’s inherent curiosity and passion for journalism led her through a degree from USC’s Annenberg School for Communication into the world of action sports journalism into the world of tech. She currently writes for techzulu.com, Kiteworld Magazine, as well as works with several tech start-ups in Silicon Valley on marketing for generation-m (for multitasking).

Joshua Stecker

Joshua carries various titles, including host, journalist, editor, actor, writer, theatre company co-owner and corgi wrangler. The former west coast editor of Script Magazine, Joshua has embarked on this new endeavor, The Script Reporter, as host and editor-in-chief. Keeping his theatre roots, Joshua is also co-owner of the Modjeska Playhouse theatre company in Orange County. He’s also the publisher of hyperlocal magazine, San Pedro Today. When he’s not tweeting, updating his Facebook status, posting photos on Path, hounding writers for interviews, or trying to beat a deadline, he can be found keeping his two corgis, Cali and Brook, busy. Or he’s playing with his LEGOs. He likes LEGOs.

Thomas Berry

Tom Berry is on an eternal quest for knowledge. You’ll most likely find him pouring over old maps, digging through the chronologies of obscure royal lineages, pondering the letters of ancient warrior poets from a forgotten battle or reading lost cocktail recipes from a nineteenth century hotel bar guide. You might say he lives in the past…. uncovering tales from the hidden corners of history. He’s storyteller at heart whose curiosity has taken him around the globe. Once upon a time he was a musician, athlete and television producer… but he’s always been an observer and writer. He also majored in some of this stuff back in college.

Matthew Leddy

Matthew Leddy (Hindsight co-host) is honored and humbled by the opportunity to share his extensive knowledge about stuff (that he learned on wikipedia two hours ago) with his multitudinous adoring fans. Also, he recently learned how to use “multitudinous” in a sentence. Matthew has been a huge fan of history ever since it was invented; and also ever since Tom told him it was a requirement to be on the show. After all, those who ignore history are doomed to… enjoy more free time and have a real chance at meeting a girl. Using history as his guide, Matthew is on a quest to save the world through education, wisdom, compassion and writing grandiose statements about himself in the third person. So here’s to history! Because, hey, at least it’s not algebra.

Chris Amick

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Chris spent his early years not knowing what the internet was, no less that there could be live entertainment streamed upon it. As the YouTube sensation struck, Chris began putting all of his stupid videos up, realizing the potential reach, but without much success. He moved to Florida to attend the Florida State University Film School, and upon graduating, began an internship at Trigger Street Productions where his eyes were opened to video podcasting. Applying his knowledge, and hoping that nobody noticed how green he was, Chris quickly caught on and was hired to run the network.

He continues to write and direct, as well as put stupid videos on YouTube, now with slightly more success. Chris can juggle, play pool, do most accents, accent most meals with a tasty wine, and wine most girls into a lovely night.

Paul Rowe

Paul grew up as a bit of a black swan in the preppy, sports driven world of Baltimore private schools, early on trading in his lacrosse stick for an 8mm camera with which to create stop-motion claymation shorts and “Pulp Fiction” inspired action flicks. He studied fine arts in college, using that degree to become a cashier, essay grader, and bartender among other jobs, before moving to Chicago and finding himself enrolled in the inaugural class of an upstart graduate program for “digital cinema” at DePaul University. After studying various sides of the discipline for several years there, he forwent his degree conferral, opting to move to Los Angeles and start working in the industry. As a writer/director, film buff, and production hand, what excites him most about media content these days are the rapid advances in technology and the new avenues they create for storytelling.
