Here’s the second of two podcasts from Fringe NYC. In this episode, The Script Reporter spoke with Wesley Fruge’, the creator and writer of the play, FriendAndy.com.
FriendAndy.com tells the story of Andy, a vlogger (video blogger) making his way through his life online, creating and performing multiple sketch characters as he tries to build his online audience and make a living while doing it. As the show notes say, it’s “a revealing look at our digital lives.” The play relies heavily on multimedia technology, including live “Skype” chats onstage, to tell Andy’s story, which made it one of the more unique Fringe NYC shows.
Joshua interviewed the creator/writer, Wesley Fruge’, about his FriendAndy.com, including the inspiration for the story, how the show took shape and was finally mounted, the incredible cast and what the future may hold for the production.
