Shores is best known for the play, “Sordid Lives,” which he also adapted for the screen and television. The comedy centered around the Texan Ingram family and touched on LGBT themes. His first play, “Daddy’s Dyin’: Who’s Got the Will?” was also adapted into a film in which he wrote and directed.
