It was 1970, the Vietnam War was raging, The National Guard was shooting college kids, The Beatles were breaking up, Houston was “having a problem” and folks were driving around in their brand new AMC Gremlins and Ford Pintos. Oh… and a few friends who loved comics were organizing a little thing called COMIC-CON at a hotel in San Diego. Tom and Matthew will talk with special guest Paul M. Sammon, who was there from the beginning, about how Comic-Con came to be, what it was like in those early years and how it evolved from a small gathering of comics fans and friends into the ultra-corporate behemoth it is today over the course four decades. Tune in April 18th, 5PM PST on Trigg.la/live!
