Today on FilmTracks – Indie Artsts as Score Composers

Andrew Alderete February 14, 2012 0

Independent artists have always been at the forefront of social and cultural change, and it was only a matter of time before someone recognized that combining film and this style of music could transcend film to unimaginable heights. In this week’s episode, Andrew and Jessie will dive into some obscure and overlooked albums composed by indie artists – their lasting impact on us, and some neat scenes that highlight the genius behind the music. Is there a push to get more indie artists to do soundtracks? Is this still an ‘indie’ feature film style, or is it bleeding into the majors?

Tune in at 5PM today to hear the discussion and some cool music!
