Brillant use of Google StreetView for a great Short Film

Director Tom Jenkins uses Google StreetView to create a beautiful stop motion animated short film.

A lonely desk toy that longs for escape from the dark confines of the office, so he takes a cross country road trip to the Pacific Coast in the only way he can – using a toy car and Google Maps Street View.

Larry Page of Google describes it as “StreetView meets Toy Story”

Evidence that simple ingenuity combined with the talent to tell a story can be very effective even on a micro scale and budget.
