The Online Short Film that Roger Ebert says deserves an Oscar

Admin December 30, 2010 3

Roger Ebert saw this short film shot a couple of days ago during the snowpocalypse in NYC and posted it on his blog

This film deserves to win the Academy Award for best live-action short subject.
(1) Because of its wonderful quality. (2) Because of its role as homage. It is directly inspired by Dziga Vertov’s 1929 silent classic “Man With a Movie Camera.” (3) Because it represents an almost unbelievable technical proficiency. It was filmed during the New York blizzard of Dec. 26

But do you recognize that score?

That really was beautifully shot and edited. Nicely paired with the song as well.

I’m sure he had permissions. Good visuals though.

Beautiful. Makes me wish a blizzard would hit us in Los Angeles.
